ALL KINDS OF QUADRILATERAL AND TRIANGEL

ALL KINDS OF QUADRILATERAL

1)      Parallelogram: A four-sided polygon with two pairs of parallel and equal sides. The following is a parallelogram.

2)      Rectangle: A rectangle is a parallelogram with 4 right angles. The following is a rectangle.
3)      Square:A square is a rectangle with 4 equal sides. The following is square

4)      Rhombus: A rhombus is a parallelogram with 4 equal sides. The following is a rhombus.

5)      Trapezoid: A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with only one pair of parallel sides. The following are trapezoids:

a)      Scalene trapezoid: A scalene trapezoid is a trapezoid with no equal sides. The following is a scalene trapezoid
b)      Right-angled trapezoid: A right-angled is a trapezoid with two right angles. The following is a right-angle trapezoid.

c)      Isosceles trapezoid: In an isosceles trapezoid, non-parallel sides are equal. The following is an isosceles trapezoid.
6)      Kites: A kite have 2 pairs of adjasent sides same length, a pair of opposite angel same size, one of diagonal is symetric axis north, and a kite have one of diagonal divides the kite to be same size.

ALL KINDS OF TRIANGEL
1)      The right triangle: The right triangle has one 90 degree angle and two acute (< 90 degree) angles.  Since the sum of the angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees...
y + z = 90 degrees
The two sides of the triangle that are by the right angle are called the legs...  and the side opposite of the right angle is called the hypotenuse.

2)      The equilateral triangle: In the equilateral triangle, all the sides are the same length (congruent) and all the angles are the same size (congruent).  Since the sum of the angles of a triangle is always 180 degrees, we can figure out the measure of the angles of an equilateral triangle:

3)      The isosceles triangle: The isosceles triangle (I can NEVER remember how to spell isosceles) has two sides that are the same length (congruent) and two angles that are the same size (congruent).

4)       Is the triangel that have different of sides and angle.

5)      The obtuse triangle: Obtuse triangles aren't very smart.
Obtuse triangles have one angle that is greater than 90 degrees.  (Obtuse triangles have one obtuse angle.)

6)        The acute triangle: Acute triangles are better looking than all the other triangles.  (Pathetic attempt at a math joke.)
Acute triangles have NO angles greater than or equal to 90 degrees -- all their angles are less than 90 degrees.  (Acute triangles have all acute angles.)
